Al-Zamili: The House of Representatives proposes a new food security law submitted by the Finance Committee

    The First Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hakim Al-Zamili, confirmed today, Tuesday, that the Food Security Law will be submitted to Parliament for a vote.
     
    Al-Zamili said in a statement to the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that he "met with the Legal Committee regarding two important laws that must be submitted after obtaining approval and discussing it in the Legal Committee, which is the criminalization of normalization with the Zionist entity and must be submitted for discussing in the nearest session, and the other law is the new food Security Law.
     
    He pointed out that "the new food security law was presented by the Parliamentary Finance Committee as a draft law and will be discuss first by the House of Representatives, voted on and transferred for implementation by the government," noting that "the draft law concerns the citizen and the social care bracket, the disbursement of farmers' dues, and allocating an amount to the Ministry of Electricity to pay off debts and import gas.”
