The Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs announced the vote of the Board of Directors of the Arab Labor Organization on Iraq hosting the meetings of the 97th session of the organization next October.
"The Minister of Labor and Social Affairs, Judge Salar Abdul Sattar, participated in an official delegation in the meetings of the 96th session of the Board of Directors of the Arab Labor Organization held in Cairo," stated the ministry in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency – INA.
He noted that "the session's meetings include selecting Arab labor pioneers. They will be honored in various fields and specializations of the organization, in the presence of Fayez Al-Mutairi, Director General of the Arab Labor Organization."
"Iraq announced, at the beginning of the session's work, that it stood with the State of Palestine and its people in recovering their rights, because it is an observer member of the International Labor Organization as an observer state, in addition to being a member of the Board of Directors of the Arab Labor Organization," he explained, stressing that "the vote was unanimous on Iraq's hosting of the meetings of the 97th session of the Arab Labor Organization next October. "
It is noteworthy that the Board of Directors of the Arab Labor Organization agreed, at the end of the meetings of its 95th session, held in the Qatari capital, Doha, to form a committee for selecting Arab entrepreneurs for the 48th session of the next Arab Labor Conference.
