The head of the National State Forces Alliance, Ammar al-Hakim, called on all political forces in the parliament to issue a document for the strategic construction of the country.

During Eid al-Fitr sermon that was held in his office in Baghdad and attended by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), Sayyed Al-Hakim said: “Seven months after the early elections in Iraq, We are still witnessing a clear reluctance to form a new political scene in line with the main purpose for which the early elections were held, which cost the state a lot of effort and money, As well as disrupting the people’s desire to form a strong and cohesive government to create a real and effective change in the country’s structure, sectors, and various fields in terms of service, economics and security.”

Al-Hakim emphasized “The current situation and the political blockage will have serious consequences for democracy and the principles of respecting the constitution and the law and the peaceful transfer of power and the path of building the state and its institutions."

He also indicated that "This political blockage indicates the existence of a structural problem in the nature of the political system and its interactions, as it is not correct for the electoral process to turn into a problem in itself."

Al-Hakim warned against what he described as "Attempts to pass unbalanced alliances that exceed the right of the largest component to nominate a prime minister."
