Rasool announces eliminating the so-called Wilayat Dijlah, south of Mosul

    The spokesman for the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Major General Yahea Rasool, revealed on Tuesday, the details of the strike that killed dozens of ISIS members in Nineveh, while confirming the complete elimination of the so-called Wilayat Dijlah, south of Mosul.
     
    "The operations are continuing to pursue these terrorist members in the desert areas, in addition to continuing of  the qualitative air strikes, whether in the mountains or in the woods, valleys or desert areas", Rasool told The Iraqi News Agency(INA).
     
    He pointed out, “Many ISIS members were killed in a qualitative operation of the Counter-Terrorism Service , resulting the eradication of what so-called Wilayat Dijlah  ," noting that "the strike was painful one for ISIS, as more than 43 ISIS members were killed and their equipment and weapons were confiscated."
     
    Rasool pointed out that "There are some areas that were entered for the first time due to qualitative operations that depend on airdrops through the army's aviation in the depth of the desert, which are new qualitative and strategic operations through which we were able to detect a factory for improvised wheels and the arrest of two members in accordance with Article 4 of anti- terrorism law and confiscating of equipment and weapons belongs to these terrorist groups".
