Dhi Qar Governor Mohammad Hadi Al-Ghazi announced Saturday, a strategic plan to build an integrated medical city in the province.
Al-Ghazi said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "The meeting with the Secretary-General of the Council of Ministers, Dr. Hamid Al-Ghazi, resulted in the approval of a strategic plan to build an integrated medical city in Dhi Qar province," noting that "the plan includes solving the health services crisis in all the administrative units in Dhi Qar gradually within three years, as well as completing of the medical city in three phases. "
He added, "The medical city project is one of the largest strategic projects implemented in the province, and it is hoped that it will contribute to the advancement of the health sector, which has long suffered from severe confusion in the past decades."
