CAS refuses to cancel the exclusion of Russian football by FIFA

The Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) on Friday rejected the Russian Football Association’s appeal against FIFA’s exclusion from international competitions due to his country’s invasion of Ukraine.

This decision, which comes three days after a similar decision regarding the exclusion of Russia from European Union (UEFA) competitions, does not prejudge the future ruling of the Court of Sport in the matter of the dispute, which is not expected for at least several weeks.
