The Ministry of Agriculture announced on Friday, the start of the activities of the thirteenth Agricultural week in Baghdad International Fairground, tomorrow, Saturday.
The ministry's spokesman, Hamid Al-Nayef, said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "the activities of the thirteenth agricultural week will start tomorrow, Saturday, 19th of March, in Baghdad International Fairground under the auspices of Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kadhimi and the supervision of the Minister of Agriculture Mohammad Karim Al-Khafaji , for the period from March 19-25.
He added that "The event will witness wide Arab and international participation as well as the participation from all departments and companies of the ministry, as well as the directorates of agriculture in the governorates, in addition to producers of poultry, honey, fish, agricultural crops and the private sector," noting that "the exhibition aims to show the local product and emphasized the importance of protecting and supporting it in order to reach self-sufficiency to secure the foundations of food security for the Iraqi citizen.
