MOFA: A new round of consular consultations with Turkey in Baghdad

    The Ministry of Foreign Affairs proposed today, Thursday, to hold a new round of consular consultations with Turkey in Baghdad.

    A statement by the ministry, received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), said that "the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for Political Planning, Saleh Hussein Ali Al-Tamimi, discussed with the Turkish ambassador to Iraq, Ali Reza Konai, to start completing the consular discussions that started their first round in Ankara last October.".

    The statement stated, "Al-Tamimi called on the Turkish side to hold the second round of consular consultations in Baghdad.".

    He added, "The Undersecretary asked Konai to facilitate the procedures for granting entry visas to Iraqis wishing to visit Turkey," noting that "the Ministry of Planning is working hard in facilitating the granting of entry visas to Turkish citizens wishing to invest or visit Iraq."
