Iraq and Jordan discuss repercussions of the Russian-Ukrainian war

    Foreign Minister Fouad Hussein discussed with his Jordanian counterpart Ayman Safadi, today, Thursday, the repercussions of the Russian-Ukrainian war.

    The Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "the Minister of Foreign Affairs met his Jordanian counterpart on the sidelines of the 157th session of the Council of the League of Arab States, which is being held at the level of foreign ministers at the Arab League headquarters in Cairo," explaining, "The two sides praised the development The quality of bilateral relations between Iraq and Jordan in various fields.

    The statement added that "the two sides exchanged visions and ideas on various files of common interest, as well as ways to strengthen bilateral cooperation frameworks at various levels," noting that "the two sides affirmed that facing the challenges facing the region requires unifying efforts and joint coordination.".

    He continued, "The two sides discussed the current Ukrainian crisis and its repercussions on various political, economic and security levels," noting that "the meeting was attended by Ahmed Nayef Rashid Al-Dulaimi, the Ambassador of the Republic of Iraq in Cairo, the permanent representative to the League of Arab States and head of the Arab Department Osama Mahdi Ghanem, In addition to the staff of the Iraqi embassy in Cairo.
