Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein congratulated women on their International Day, while indicating that the time has come for them to have a role in management and leadership.
Hussein said in a statement, received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA) that "The world celebrates on the eighth of March of each year the International Women's Day, a day that focuses on the historical struggle of women, and it is a celebration to crown her achievements and contributions to society," congratulating "women on this occasion and wish them a journey crowned with qualitative human achievement.”
He added that "Women are half of society, and it is time for them to be half of society in management and leadership," stressing "his support for women, equality with men, non-discrimination, rejection of violence against them, ensuring quality education, and effective participation in managing the present and future of life."
