Russian Strategic Missile Forces begin combat readiness mode

Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu told President Vladimir Putin about the readiness of the Strategic Missile Forces, the Northern and Pacific Fleet and long-range aviation to carry out their tasks. 

"The Minister of Defense of the Russian, General Shergyi Shoigu, told the Russian Armed Forces, Vladimir Putin, according to his orders, that the management points of the Strategic Missile Forces, the forces of the Northern Fleet and the Pacific Fleet, and the Long-Range Aviation Command are in combat readiness," the Russian Defense Ministry said in a statement. 

In response to journalists' questions about the tasks set by the head of state for the strategic forces, Peskov noted that "Putin's order needs no explanation." 

"What do you want to understand here? There is no second meaning, no double understanding, it says clearly: Strategic Deterrence Forces should move to a special combat rotation system. This is absolutely complete and comprehensive order on the part of the commander in chief."
