Rasool: Iraq is open to all countries in the context of strengthening its military capabilities

The spokesman for the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Major General Yahya Rasool, confirmed today, Saturday, that Iraq plans to strengthen its defense capabilities in the air and land areas.

Rasool told the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "Iraq is seeking to move on several countries in order to buy combat and drone planes, as well as buy tanks and cannons and obtain several defense systems," noting that "delegations will be sent to several European countries as well as to Pakistan, In order to purchase types of weapons that secure Iraq's capabilities by air and land.

He added, "Iraq is open to all countries within the framework of enhancing its military capabilities, and there are plans to increase the number of tanks and increase teams and battalions in order to raise the capabilities of the Iraqi army," noting that "Iraq intends to purchase advanced drones and tanks, which enhances the defense system for all units of the Armed forces.".
