Al-Araji: 20 dangerous terrorists escaped from Al-Hasakah prison

    The National Security Adviser Qassem Al-Araji confirmed that 20 dangerous terrorists have escaped from Al-Hasakah prison, while the European Union Ambassador, Fele Variola, indicated that 5 million euros were provided for humanitarian aid to the affected families in Iraq.

    Al-Araji said in a statement issued during his meeting with the European Union Ambassador in Baghdad, Wille Variola, and received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), "We hope that the European Union will have a role in the Vienna talks, and we believe that the success of the Vienna talks will have positive effects on Iraq and the region," calling on The European Union urged its members to withdraw their nationals from al-Hol camp.

    He added, "The presence of this large number of terrorists in (SDF) prisons, with poor capabilities, poses a constant and permanent danger if the international community does not perform its duties," explaining that "twenty dangerous terrorists managed to escape from Hasaka prison."

    He continued, "We are against the policy of the axes, and we are not a party to it. Rather, we believe that Iraq has a positive role, and we seek to find solutions between the conflicting parties," pointing to "the need for wisdom and reason to solve all problems, and we refuse to enter into any conflict, but we work to bring the views closer and distance ourselves."
