Oil Ministry: Last month's revenues amounted to more than $8 billion

    The Ministry of Oil announced Tuesday the total exports and revenues achieved for the month of January, confirming that it reached more than $8 billion and at the price of $83,246 per barrel.

    "According to preliminary statistics issued by the Iraqi oil marketing company Somo, the amount of exports of crude oil (99) million (286) thousand and (78) barrels, with revenues of (8.27) billion dollars," said the ministry statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA).
     
    "The total quantities of crude oil exported for the month of January from the oil fields in central and southern Iraq amounted to (96) million and (430) thousand and (596) barrels, while from Kirkuk fields through the port of Ceyhan amounted (2) million and (545) thousand and (656) barrels," the statement said.
     
    "The average daily exports amounted to (3) million and (203) thousand barrels, while the average price per barrel was $83,246," the statement said.
     
    The ministry, believing in informing the people about export operations and revenues, has taken this monthly measure.
