The Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs announced Today, Thursday, signing an agreement with France to support safe havens in Baghdad and women's protection centers.
The Ministry said in a statement, received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "Minister Adel Al-Rikabi signed an agreement to support safe havens in Baghdad and women's protection centers in three governorates (Nineveh, Anbar, and Basra) in cooperation with France and the United Nations Population Fund."
During the signing ceremony, the minister said that the Ministry of Labor, in light of the economic conditions and great challenges, unable to carry all its tasks without the cooperation with other sides, as it is in dire need of protection, empowerment and support of partners to advance the reality of the fragile and vulnerable groups that the ministry takes care of them, especially children, women and the elderly who were forced by difficult circumstances to ask for the help of our institutions."” calling that “the project to rehabilitate shelter homes includes other governorates that are in dire need for such projects.”
"The ministry is looking forward to coordinate and cooperate with the international community, whether it is the United Nations or France and other countries," he added.
