Armed Forces Commander-in-Chief Mustafa al-Kadhimi met Wednesday with military commanders at the headquarters of the 6th Division - Border Guards.

"Al-Kadhimi met with security and military leaders at the headquarters of the 6th Division - border guards on the Iraqi-Syrian border," the prime minister's media office said in a statement received by the Iraqi news agency INA.

The commander-in-chief of the armed forces, Mustafa al-Kadhimi, arrived Wednesday in the Iraqi-Syrian border strip.

"Al-Kadhimi has arrived in the Iraqi-Syrian border strip of Nineveh province," the prime minister's media office said in a brief statement received by the Iraqi news agency INA.

"The ministers of defense and interior and a number of military and security leaders were with Al-Kadhimi," the statement said.
