Salih: The new government must be capable to meet people aspirations

President Barham Saleh stressed on Wednesday the need for the new government to be able to overcome the challenges, while stressing that crises in the region should be addressed.

"The martyr commander Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis, vice president of the mobilization authority, and the great Iranian leader Hajj Qasim Soleimani, are two great influencers in our country," Saleh said in a speech at the official ceremony of the second anniversary of the martyred victory leaders Hajj Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis and Iraqi guest Hajj Qassim Soleimani followed by Iraqi news agency (INA).
 
"We proudly regain the victory over the terrorist ISIS and the failure of its malicious project, which threatened the region and the world, and we were able to liberate our cities from the desecration of terrorism with the unity of our people," he said.
 
"Today we are waiting for an important entitlement for the convening of the new parliament to begin the formation of a new government that must be able to carry out its tasks and address the challenges posed by our country and the region, and radical and structural reform must be achieved and the aspirations of the people and citizens throughout Iraq must be met," he said.
 
"The crisis that has been imposed in the region must be brought to an end as it is an urgent need and a common interest for all," he said.
