Cristiano Ronaldo is 'very happy' at Manchester United, his agent and friend Jorge Mendes has insisted.
The 36-year-old has cut a frustrated figure for large parts of his return to Old Trafford, and the Portuguese came in for recent criticism following his decision not to acknowledge supporters after recent matches at Norwich and Newcastle.
It is something that has been picked up on by interim head coach Ralf Rangnick, who has told his players to improve their body language on the pitch.
Aside from that, there has also been issues raised over a lack of chemistry between Ronaldo and his fellow team-mates.
Rangnick also appeared to criticise Ronaldo's lack of work off the ball when he recently suggested the problem of allowing 'too many transitional moments' started with those up top.
Despite these issues, however, Mendes was quick to stub out any talk of a possible departure for the No 7.
'Cristiano Ronaldo is very happy at Manchester United,' Mendes said in an interview with Sky Sports Italia, as per the Sun.
'He's going to continue with his solid, great performances as always in his career.
'It's going be a great season for him, I'm sure.'
Ronaldo ended 2021 on a high on Thursday evening as he scored in United's comfortable 3-1 win over Burnley.
In a first half in which United dominated - described as the best 45 minutes United have produced since Rangnick's arrival - Ronaldo grabbed his eighth league goal of the campaign.
United are currently sixth, with a game in hand over the two teams immediately above them - West Ham and Arsenal.
