This is how Najafis welcomed the New Year 

The city of Najaf Al-Ashraf welcomed the year 2022 with decorations, roses and a Christmas tree that adorned the streets, markets and shops, in light of the citizens' optimism for the new year. 

Al Rawan Street in the city center witnessed families and citizens flock to celebrate the New Year. 

The citizen Adel Abbas told the Iraqi News Agency (INA): "We hope that the year 2022 will bring goodness to all Iraqis, that their suffering will end, their simple dreams will be realized, and that they will obtain their legitimate rights that secure a decent life for them," describing "the atmosphere of celebrating the coming of this year in Najaf as beautiful and distinguished.". 

Which reflects the optimism of the Najafi citizen and his love for joy and happiness. 

Citizen Azhar Al-Zubaidi expressed his "hope that this year Iraq will witness political, economic and social stability, and that the aspirations of the Iraqi people will be fulfilled, and their needs and the legitimate demands they call for will be met, such as providing basic services, jobs and job opportunities for young people."
