North Oil Refineries reviewed on Friday its 2021 work, as well as future investment projects the company plans to implement.
Qassim Abdul Rahman Hussein, director general of the company, told the Iraqi News Agency (INA) that “The first, second and third stages of the company's reservoir project have been completed, the first and second phases and part of the third phase of the industrial water dealing project have been completed, and major power plants number 9 and 8 sub-power stations have been installed and operated.
"One of the results of the above stages was the refinery's access to a total refining capacity of 140,000 barrels per day," he said.
"One of the investment and future projects as well is the 150,000 barrel kirkuk investment refinery project, which was completed by Shaw british company in 2013, and its referral to implementation under the custody of Rania International and this company is now in the process of starting implementation work, and Haditha refinery project with a capacity of 70,000 barrels per day and now in the final stages of referral," he said.
He added: "Also, the investment refinery Qayyara with a capacity of 70,000 barrels per day has been signed a preliminary memorandum of understanding with the European companies Sipek and Lamak to start implementation work”.
