Dhi Qar criminal court: death sentence against three criminals involved in a bombing in Basra

The Supreme Judicial Council (SJC) announced today, Thursday, the death sentence against three criminals who participated in a bombing in Basra province.
 
SJC said in a statement, received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that “Dhi Qar Criminal Court issued a death sentence against three criminals for their participation in detonating booby-trapped motorcycles with IED in Al-Jumhuriya area in Basra province, which led to the death and injury of a large number of citizens." 

The statement added, "The sentences issued against criminals are in accordance with the provisions of Article Two / First and in the context of Article IV/1 of the Anti-Terrorism Law No. 13 of 2005."
