Today, Sunday, Minister of Planning Khalid Battal counted the completed small and medium projects and others under construction.
Battal said in a statement to the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "small and medium projects, the support for which is provided by a group of organizations and donor countries, and were implemented by the United Nations Migration Agency and the Ministry of Planning."
He added that "there are 1,000 projects that have been completed and 2,000 projects are underway, and it will have a role in revitalizing the construction sector, and they will acquire exceptional importance because of their developmental effects on the economic reality in the country."
Battal said that "these projects are of exceptional importance, as they are easy to implement and study, and easy to pay off, and contribute to the employment of many unemployed people in sectors and small businesses characterized by entrepreneurship and encourage innovators and creators to complete their work."
And he indicated that "these projects are funded and non-refundable, and range between $30,000 and $20,000 or less, depending on the project."
