BAGHDAD-INA
The Ministry of Health announced Sunday that the threat of corona virus remains, while noting that there are no recommendations on easing restrictions.
"The continued decline in Corona infections does not indicate the end of the pandemic and the return of normal life," Director of Public Health Riad al-Halafi told The Iraqi News Agency (INA), adding that "Countries are suffering from a high rate of casualties, and Iraq is not immune to the return of its rise.”
"So far, there is no decision or amendment to the recommendations for the pandemic," al-Halafi said, adding that "Iraq remains at risk of rising casualties and entering the fourth wave."
In a very significant drop not seen in months, the Ministry of Health announced Saturday that only 9 deaths and 182 cases of CORONA virus have been recorded.
