The Foreign Ministry announced Wednesday that 420 passports have been granted to Iraqis stranded at the Belarusian border, saying the passport was granted to Iraqis wishing to return voluntarily.
"The ministry has granted 420 passports to Iraqis wishing to return voluntarily from those stranded on the Belarusian borders," ministry spokesman Ahmed al-Sahaf said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA).
"The granting of passports was part of the efforts of the Iraqi embassies in Moscow and Warsaw, and through the field consular teams in Belarus, Lithuania, Lativia and Poland," he said.
