Minister of Planning announces funding 1,000 projects in Iraq

Planning Minister Khaled Batal announced on Tuesday funding 1,000 small and medium-sized projects across Iraq.
 
"Financial support has been provided for the implementation of 1,000 small and medium-sized projects across iraq, and on behalf of the Republic of Iraq, we appreciate the initiative put forward by the International Organization for Migration to establish the Project Development Fund," Batal said at a press conference held in Baghdad on the occasion of the financing of 1,000 medium-sized projects with grants from the Project Development Fund and attended by the reporter of the Iraqi News Agency (INA).

"This fund will contribute to enhance the Iraqi economy as a means of economic recovery after Iraq overcomes difficult challenges faced through terrorism and the Corona pandemic," he said.

"The projects play a major role in advancing economic recovery in the basic and secondary sectors and supporting the group of young graduates from different disciplines," he added, stressing that "the Ministry of Planning is ready to work with its departments to provide available studies and data and provide statistics for topics in the Fund in coordination with ministries, provinces and relevant departments."
