BAGHDAD-INA
The National Security Service announced on Sunday a number of changes in leading and advanced positions.
"The National Security service has been created for citizen security and not to obtain positions or to exploit the positions of the national security service, said Hamid al-Sahtri, head of the service, in a video followed by the Iraqi News Agency (INA).
"It is our duty to have contact with citizens and to have our windows open through our official communication sites and our intelligence channels are open with citizens and to invest in the national effort to strengthen the security situation," he said.
"There are other major challenges, we have organized crime as well as outlaw gangs as well as cybercrime, that the National Security Service deals daily with a number of targets and dismantles very dangerous networks," he said.
"A number of changes in the body have recently been made in leadership and advanced positions based on assessments and estimates concerning the concealment of the challenges to Iraq and to Iraqi national security," he said.
