Iraqi Civil Aviation Authority - ICAA announced on Monday, electing of Iraq as Chairman of the Air Safety Committee in the Arab Civil Aviation Organization.
The Air Safety Committee in the Arab Civil Aviation Organization elected the Director of Air Safety in the Iraqi Civil Aviation Authority, Ali Nima Rasham, as its head in its current session, according to a statement by ICAA received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA).
"This event is important for Iraq's role and position in the Arab Civil Aviation Organization through its prominent presence in international meetings and conferences, which will enhance air safety work mechanisms and its effective role with member states,” included the statement.
For his part, the Director of Air Safety in the Iraqi Civil Aviation Authority praised the distinguished role and continuous follow-up by the President of the Iraqi Civil Aviation Authority, Captain Nael Saad Abdul Hadi, in order to activate the role of air safety before international aviation organizations and bodies, as this is an achievement in addition to the work of the Civil Aviation Authority.
