PMF thwart an ISIS attack southeast of Salah al-Din

The Popular Mobilization Forces announced Today, Friday that they had thwarted an attack by ISIS terrorist gangs in the eastern Salahuddin Governorate.
 
PMF said in a statement, received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), stated that "A force from the 88^th Brigade of the PMF repelled an ISIS attack southeast of Salah al-Din."

The statement added, "A force from the second regiment in the brigade also repelled targeting one of the regiment’s checkpoints in Al-Dhuluiya district, by an ISIS sniper."

The statement also pointed out that the force was able to thwart an attack that ISIS intended to carry out after targeting the fighters with direct sniping.
