Iraq as Vice-President of the Executive Office of the Arab Ministerial Council for Water

    The Ministry of Water Resources announced today, Thursday, the election of the Republic of Iraq as Deputy Chairman of the Executive Office of the Arab Ministerial Council for Water for the years 2022-2023. 

    The ministry stated, in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "The Minister of Water Resources Mahdi Rashid Al-Hamdani and the accompanying delegation For him, he participated in the ministerial meeting of the thirteenth session of the Arab Ministerial Council for Water, which was held this morning at the headquarters of the Arab League in Cairo. 

    The statement added, "The meeting discussed the decisions issued by the meeting of the Technical Scientific Advisory Committee and the Executive Office of the Council, which held its meetings for the period from 14-16 / November 2021, and approved by the attending ministers, including items related to Iraq to preserve its water rights and provide support to develop the marshes. 

    He pointed out that "the ministerial meeting issued many decisions, including the decision on the nineteenth item, where members of the Executive Office of the Council were selected according to the statute of the Council, in which the Republic of Iraq was elected as Vice-President of the Executive Office for the years 2022-2023."
