Maysan Criminal Court: Life imprisonment for a criminal who kidnapped and blackmailed citizens

The Supreme Judicial Council (SJC) announced today, Thursday, issuing of a Life imprisonment for a criminal who kidnapped and blackmailed citizens.
 
SJC media center said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA): "Maysan Criminal Court issued a life sentence against a criminal who kidnapped two people from Babil Governorate."
 
The statement pointed out that "The accused was sentenced in accordance with the provisions of Article (Fourth/1) and in terms of Article II/8) of the Anti-Terrorism Law.
