15 infiltrators from Syria arrested west of Nineveh

The Military Intelligence Directorate arrested On Wednesday 15 infiltrators from Syria west of Nineveh.
 
" with accurate information from the Intelligence Division of the 15th Division, one of the departments of the Military Intelligence Directorate in the Ministry of Defense, and after the use of thermal cameras, it was confirmed that a group of people were moving inside Syrian territory towards Iraqi territory, trying to infiltrate through the village of Mushifa, which belongs to Rabia district, west of Nineveh, adjacent to the border strip," said a statement from the security media cell, which was received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA).
“In cooperation with the intelligence of the 1st Regiment, the 71st Infantry Brigade and a brigade force, the infiltrating group was ambushed and arrested as soon as it entered Iraqi territory," the statement said.
 
"The infiltrators turned out to be 15 people of Syrian nationality," he said, adding that they had been "returned to Syrian territory through the Joint Coordination Center."
