SMC announces upon the arrest of 3 infiltrators from Syria to Iraq

Security Media Cell – SMC announced the arrest of 3 infiltrators from Syria to Iraq.
 
"In continuation of its tasks in protecting the borders with holding units and with intelligence information for one of the joints of the Intelligence Directorate in the Ministry of Defense - Intelligence Division, the 15th Division of the Army, in cooperation with a ground force from the 1st Regiment, 71st Infantry Brigade, with the help of thermal cameras, managed to monitor the movement of three people from the Syria trying to cross the common border strip,” according to a statement by the cell, received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA).
 
They were arrested in “a tight ambush after they crossed the border in the village of Gilbarat, Rabia district, west of Nineveh, and it turned out that they are a family of Syrian nationality," the statement included.
