World Health Organization: 180,000 health sector workers have died due to the epidemic

The World Health Organization, announced on Thursday, the number of health workers who have died due to corona virus since the start of a pandemic until May 2021.

According to estimates by the World Health Organization issued on Thursday, died between 80 thousand and 180 thousand health workers because of Corona between 2020 May of this year.

"This is why it is essential that vaccination of healthcare professionals is a priority," said WHO Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, presenting the data.

Data from 119 countries indicates that an average of two out of five health care workers worldwide have fully received the vaccine.
