WHO refuses to approve the Indian “Covaxin” vaccine

    The World Health Organization, rejected the adoption of a vaccine "Covaxin" Indian anti-virus Corona. 

    The organization stated in a statement, that it was expecting additional information from the Indian biotechnology company "Bharat" regarding the dose of this vaccine, but it cannot underestimate the efforts of this company in manufacturing the vaccine before recommending a vaccine for emergency use, stressing the need to carefully evaluate the vaccine to ensure that it Safe and effective. 

    WHo added that they is aware that many people are waiting for the World Health Organization's recommendation to include Covaxin in the list for use of vaccines approved by the organization, but these vaccines must be carefully evaluated to ensure that they are safe and effective. 

    In addition to that WHO indicated that the "Bharat" biotechnology company provides data to the World Health Organization on a rolling basis, and WHO experts have reviewed these data, explaining that the organization expects new additional information about the vaccine, and the World Health Organization and the technical advisory group will complete the evaluation and reach a final recommendation. 

    The World Health Organization pointed out that the time frame for its EUL procedure depends on how quickly the company produces, and its ability to provide the required data to the World Health Organization to assess the quality, safety, efficacy and suitability of the vaccine for low- and middle-income countries.
