Prime Minister’s adviser Abdul Hussein al-Hindawi confirmed Saturday that manual counting has been completed at all electoral stations.
"The commission has completed the manual counting at all electoral stations," al-Hindawi told the Iraqi News Agency (INA), adding that "the results of the manual counting were identical to the electronic."
The Independent High Electoral Commission (IHEC) announced earlier Saturday that 95 percent of the 3,681 stations had been manually counted.
Imad Jamil, a member of the media team at the Commission, said in a statement to Al-Iraqiya News, which was followed by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "so far, 95% of the manual counting has been accomplished in the total number of stations, which numbered 3,681," noting that "the total number of complaints has reached 356." Two of them are red.
"The results of the manual counting were consistent with the electronic results, and this was done with the presence of entity monitors and international observers," Jamil said, adding that "the results of these stations were added to the preliminary results."
