Press sources revealed Thursday that the death toll and injuries in Beirut have risen.
"The toll of the events in Beirut has risen to two dead and 20 injured," the sources said.
"There are calls for calm and not to be drawn into malicious sedition," the sources said.
For its part, the Ministry of Health called on "government and private hospitals to receive the wounded and treat them at their expense."
The Central Security Council held a meeting chaired by Prime Minister Najib Mikati.
