Tigris River hosts Iraq rowing championship races

The Iraqi Rowing Federation will hold the Republic Championship on Friday for provincial clubs on the Tigris River.
 
"The championship will see the participation of nine provinces: Baghdad, Basra, Dhi Qar, Diwaniyah, Babylon, Najaf, Salaheddine, Nineveh and Sulaimaniyah," Said Abdul Salam Khalaf, president of the Iraqi Central Rowing Federation, in a statement to the Iraqi News Agency (INA), on Wednesday.
 
"The race will start at the training center on the Tigris River next to Al-Karkh between the Al- Shuhaa Bridges and Bab al-Mu'azam opposite to Al-Qashla," Khalaf said.
