The Iraqi ambassador to Lebanon, Haider Al-Barrak, discussed with the Speaker of the Lebanese Parliament, Nabih Berri, bilateral relations and the Iraqi elections file.
Ambassador Al-Barrak said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that he met the Speaker of the Lebanese Parliament, Nabih Berri, on a protocol visit, after assuming his duties as Iraq’s ambassador to Lebanon, noting that “the visit was an occasion during which they discussed the general conditions and bilateral relations between Iraq and Lebanon.
As well as he discussed with President Berri the bilateral relations between the two brotherly countries from various political and economic aspects, and gave an explanation about the electoral process to be held in Iraq on the tenth of this month," noting that "Berry praised the efforts made by the Iraqi government and the High Commission to secure the elections.
