Minister of Interior Othman Al-Ghanimi announced today, Tuesday that the plan for Arbaeen pilgrimages is in its final stages, while indicating the start of the phase of returning the visitors to their governorates.
Al-Ghanimi said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA) that "The security plan for the Arbaeen pilgrimages has reached its final stages," noting that "the stage of returning the visitors to their provinces has begun."
He added that "The security units are still carrying out their duties until the last visitor leaves," noting that "all the deatails of the plan to secure visitors of Arbaeen pilgrimages were carried out under the supervision of the field commanders themselves, and we did not record any security breach."
