The Foreign Ministry announced Monday, that it is granting passports to Iraqi immigrants between Lithuania and Belarus.
"The ministry has responded to the appeals of a number of Iraqi immigrants," ministry spokesman Ahmed al-Sahaf said in a statement received by the Official Iraqi News Agency (INA).
"The Iraqi Embassy in Poland has sent a consular delegation to the Lithuanian-Belarus borders for the purpose of granting passports to citizens wishing to return voluntarily, to see the conditions of residence of others and to know their humanitarian requirements," he said.
