Head of the Supreme Judicial Council, Faeq Zaidan, and the new French ambassador to Iraq, Eric Chevalier, discussed, today, Tuesday, preparations for the signing a memorandum of understanding between the Iraqi and French judiciary.
The Supreme Judicial Council said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "the President of the Supreme Judicial Council, Faiq Zaidan, received on Tuesday, the new French ambassador to Iraq, Eric Chevalier, and his accompanying delegation."
He added that "both parties discussed following up the procedures for preparing the signing of the memorandum of understanding between the Iraqi and French judiciary in order to cooperate in judicial and legal jurisdictions."
