Foreign Minister Fouad Hussein participated Tuesday, in the consultative meeting of the Council of the League of Arab States.
Foreign Ministry spokesman Ahmed Al-Sahaf said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA) that "Foreign Minister Fouad Hussein participated in the consultative meeting of the Arab League council at a ministerial level, held at the headquarters of the Permanent Mission of the State of Kuwait to the United Nations in New York within the framework of the United Nations General Assembly at its 76th session.
He added, that "The participation came to discuss the latest developments on the Arab arena, to strengthen the mechanisms of joint action and to coordinate Arab positions towards the most prominent Arab issues in the region, especially the Palestinian issue."
