US supports Iraq's plans to invest in gas

The US ambassador to Iraq, Matthew Tueller today, Sunday, confirmed that the investment of associated gas will enable Iraq to provide its full need for consumption and electric power generation. 

Tueller said in a statement to the Iraqi News Agency (INA) on the sidelines of the launch of the gas investment project in the Nasiriyah and Al-Gharraf fields, that "the United States of America supports Iraq through conferences and contributions by investing large companies and developing the Iraqi economy, as well as in the fields of power generation and investment of associated gas," noting He pointed out that "Baker Hughes Company, which works in Iraq and is responsible for implementing a gas field investment project in the Nasiriyah and Al-Gharraf fields, is one of the leading American companies in the investment of associated gas."
