The Counter-Terrorism Service announced today, Thursday the number of countries participating in its exhibition, while specifying the manufacturer of its weapons .
Spokesman for the agency, Sabah al-Numan, told the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "the exhibition of combating terrorism, special operations and cybersecurity, which was held in its first session on Baghdad International Fair with the participation of 52 companies and 15 countries, is an opportunity to learn about the technologies that international companies have reached in the field of technology." Combating terrorism and cybersecurity,” noting that “the head and commanders of the Counter-Terrorism Service are keen to have the latest weapons, equipment and technologies that enable it to continue to pursue terrorist organizations.”
He added, that the CTS contributed strongly to the success of this exhibition, and in coordination with the National Security Adviser, noting that “the CTS had a pavilion in the exhibition, in which weapons, equipment and specialized wheels were displayed, and this was like a message of reassurance to the Iraqi citizen that the anti-terrorism apparatus is fully prepared, armed and morally prepared. ".
He added, "The exhibition was also an opportunity for international companies to learn about the experiences possessed by the Counter-Terrorism Service to mix theoretical experiences with the process that the agency gained from fighting and confronting terrorist organizations."
Concerning the device’s equipment, Al-Numan explained that “most of the CTS’s weapons are American, because since its establishment, the American side has worked to arm it with high-quality American equipment,” stressing that “any source or advanced technologies from various international companies and countries will try to bring them, but at the same time the current US weapon is the most effective and on which the apparatus relies for its operations."
