Al-Halbousi: Iraq is keen on strengthen bilateral relations

    Parliament Speaker Muhammad al-Halbousi affirmed on Wednesday, that Iraq is keen to consolidate its relations with brotherly countries.
     
    Al-Halbousi, accompanied by a parliamentary delegation, met with the Speaker of the Egyptian Parliament, Hanafi Jabali, where the official reception ceremony took place at the headquarters of the Parliament and a session of talks was held in headquarters of the Council dealt with bilateral relations and cooperation between the two brotherly countries, according to a statement by the media office of the Speaker of the Parliament received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA).
     
    He stressed, according to the statement, that "Iraq is keen to consolidate its relations with its brotherly countries, and to continue cooperation at all levels," noting "the importance of parliamentary cooperation between Iraq and Egypt in Arab, regional and international forums, praising Egypt's support for the unity, stability and security of Iraq,”
     
    For his part, Jabali affirmed "Egypt's firm position to support Iraq and the independence of its political decision and to continue working to develop joint economic cooperation, and everything that contributes to achieving development and stability,"
