SMC announces the arrest of 2 terrorists and the seizure of IEDs in Anbar and Nineveh

The Security Media Cell announced the arrest of two terrorists and the seizure of IEDs in Anbar and Nineveh provinces. 

SMC said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA) that "Based on accurate intelligence information for the forces of the Military Intelligence Directorate at the Ministry of Defense - represented by the intelligence divisions of the Fifth, Seventh and Sixteenth Divisions, after which it was able to arrest two terrorists, one of whom is in Rutba in Anbar, He was the one who targeted our security forces and led the attack on AL-Hurria  Police station, the checkpoints of Zangora, and stole the weapons in Khasfa and 5 km areas  before   the liberation".

SMC also added, "The other terrorist was arrested in Nimrud, Nineveh province, as both of them are wanted by the judiciary according to Article 4 of anti- terrorism law," noting that " more than 65 IEDs packed in 20-liter cans were seized in Anah district in Anbar, and the terrorists were handed over to the concerning authorities, while the engineering detachments of the squad Seventh, were able to detonate explosives on site.
