A meeting of Senior Officials of Foreign Affairs Ministry to Discuss the Iraqi-Gulf Electrical linking Project

    The joint committee of senior officials in the ministries of foreign affairs of Iraq and the Gulf Cooperation Council discussed, today, Sunday, the Iraqi-Gulf electrical linking project. 

    The Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement, that "the joint committee of senior officials in the ministries of foreign affairs held between the Gulf Cooperation Council and the Republic of Iraq on 12/9/2021, a meeting via video communication technology," pointing out that " The delegation of the Republic of Iraq was headed by Nizar Al-Khairallah, the senior undersecretary of Foreign Affairs Ministry, and the delegation of the Gulf Cooperation Council was headed by Abdullah bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the Kingdom of Bahrain (Chairman of the current session). 

    During the meeting, a joint action plan for cooperation between the Republic of Iraq and the Gulf Cooperation Council was discussed in political, security, economic, educational, cultural, media, youth and sports fields, and the levels of progress achieved in implementing the contents of those fields, as well as discussing work mechanisms of the future prospect and Expanding work possibilities within an actual plan. Regional and international issues were reviewed, and the electrical linking project with the Gulf Cooperation Council, which contributes to strengthening and developing relations between Iraq and the GCC countries.
