Al-Kadhimi directs to protect women rights

Prime Minister Mustafa al-Kadhimi directed on Saturday, the ministries of justice and interior to provide all protection and rights to women.

"The ministries of justice, interior and other ministries must fairly protect women and secure all their rights," al-Kadhimi said during his speech at the 13th annual conference of violence against women, calling on "the next parliament to legislate the laws of domestic violence and cybercrimes.”

Al-Kadhimi said "Violations against women are still more widespread and we must follow our authentic culture of respect for women," calling on "women to actively participate in elections."
