Argentinian striker Sergio Aguero confirmed that he does not regret moving to Barcelona, despite the departure of his close friend Lionel Messi from the Catalan club during the same summer transfer period.
Aguero joined Barcelona on a free transfer from Premier League champions Manchester City and said he was happy with his decision even if he had to agree to a salary cut.
"I will definitely sign for Barcelona again just for the name, many are ready to give up," Aguero said in radio statements.
Aguero added: “During the conversations with Barcelona I knew his financial difficulties, and I told my agent that I do not care about money and that what I want is only to join Barcelona even if it means getting less money than I was getting.
Aguero confirmed that "he did not talk to Messi about his departure from Barcelona, and he also denied media reports that talked about the existence of a clause in his contract that allows him to leave the Catalan club in the event of the departure of Messi."
