The Independent High Electoral Commission announced on Wednesday, destroying of the short-term cards in the presence of the United Nations team.
IHEC stated in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that ""These cards belong to those who updated their data, but they did not receive their cards since 2013."
IHEC also added that , On May 17, The Independent High Electoral Commission had announced the distribution of nearly 5 million short-term cards to the voters.
